Spots (Toddlers)
Spots (18 Months – 3 Years)
Young deer are known for the little white spots on their backs—signs of youth, beauty, and growth. In our Spots class, toddlers begin to explore their world, develop language, and form friendships. We help guide them through those “first steps” in both life and faith as they discover God’s love through simple songs, stories, and play.
Spots Class meets during the Sunday School hour from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. Children who are checked into Children’s Church will be brought into the Worship Center at the end of Sunday School to join the beginning of the worship service. After participating in singing, Scripture reading, and prayer, they will be dismissed with our Deer Park Kids volunteers for age-appropriate spiritual learning. This approach helps introduce children to corporate worship while also engaging them with teaching designed specifically for their age.
Our Spots class is designed for busy little ones between 18 months and 3 years old. Toddlers in this stage are welcomed into a safe, fun, and engaging environment where they can begin to explore the world around them with curiosity and confidence.
Our trained and loving volunteers create a consistent routine that includes simple Bible stories, songs, playtime, and age-appropriate activities to help toddlers start learning about God’s love in a way they can understand. Each team member has been background checked, screened, and trained in both child safety and early childhood ministry, ensuring your child is in trustworthy hands.
In the Spots room, children are free to move, play, and learn in a space designed just for them—filled with age-appropriate toys, soft areas for rest or quiet play, and a gentle structure to support their growing independence. We recognize that this age group is full of energy and emotion, and our volunteers are patient, nurturing, and attentive to each child’s needs.
We partner with parents by following individual care instructions for snacks, diapering or potty training routines, and comfort items. Our goal is to help each child feel secure, loved, and excited to return each week.
